Welcome to The CARE Center

During the COVID-19 crisis, The CARE Center pivoted from a developmental organization to focus on the current crisis and to meet the needs of our neighbors.  However, now is the time to pivot back to our developmental programs which includes school-based education programs, tutoring, mentoring, adult education and workforce programs.  In order for these developmental programs to continue to be successful, we need your support.

Your support will help to change the narrative of the rural communities of Brownsboro, Gurley, New Hope and Owens Cross Roads where more and more children face seemingly insurmountable challenges. When you donate to The CARE Center you are helping families who find it difficult to afford the basics of food and clothing. Your gift gives under-educated adults the opportunity to receive a GED, technical training and workforce development career counseling. You are helping students to close the learning gap through tutoring, mentoring and after school programs. You are also ensuring that kids and youth do not go hungry over the weekend. Where resources are scarce, your partnership will help to fill the gaps.

It is only because of your generosity that we can continue to make a difference in the lives of thousands of families and children within our communities.

“All things new…”

The CARE Center and the communities we serve received a huge blessing and answered prayer when we completed the process of purchasing a new property located on Main Drive in New Hope.

This new space will allow our ministries to work together on one campus, except the thrift store and school-based programs which will remain in their current location.

We have prayed for some time now that God would provide us with the space needed to bring our ministries together on one campus and where we would be able to grow and add new ministries as our developmental programs continue to thrive. We have seen God work in this process in an amazing way.

We are thankful for this blessing and for the support we have been given during this process.  The CARE Center has created a fundraiser called I Give Because I CARE in order to pay-off the debt associated with this new property as soon as possible.  Please click on the “Donate Now” button below to support this effort.  Please be sure to notate that your donation is designated to I Give Because I CARE.  Thank you!

Bags of Blessings (BoB) is a weekend food security program that provides food packs to school children from low income families. The CARE Center will provide BoB filled with food intended to sustain a child through a weekend to qualifying families who have school aged children at NHES, NHHS, and OCRS. Virtual Academy students zoned for these three schools may also apply, but will need to pickup your BoB from our Business Office if approved.

CLICK HERE for an online application to apply to receive BoB. Hard copies of this application are also available at your child’s school or at The CARE Center’s Business Office (5414 Main Dr. in New Hope.) Please complete the application regardless if your child received BoB last school year. A new application is required.
