Welcome to The CARE Center

The CARE Center has a wonderful funding opportunity through the State Farm Neighborhood Assistance Program and we need your help. Here are the details:

  • State Farm accepted the first 4,000 applications nationwide.
  • The 4,000 open slots for applications were filled within 52 minutes.
  • 200 applications were approved to move to the next round of competition, including The CARE Center!!!
  • There are only two other organizations in the state of Alabama to move to this final round of competition. (Other organizations are located in Cullman and South AL-Monroe County.)
  • State Farm usually awards [40] $25,000 grants each year. However, this year is their 100th Anniversary and they will be awarding [100] $25,000 grants. Therefore, we have a 50/50 chance of winning $25,000 from State Farm!
  • It is a popularity competition moving forward and we need your help!
  • Voting will open April 27th and will remain open through May 6th at midnight.
  • Individuals can vote 10x per day (at one time…you won’t need to sign in 10 different times) from each email address (i.e.-work, personal, church email.)
  • Individuals can set a text reminder to vote each day by clicking HERE.

The CARE Center has created a social media and email blast…please share, share, share…and ask all your family and friends to vote every day, 10x per day. Here is the link for voting (starting April 27th-May 6th) and a QR Code with the link embedded. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!

“All things new…”

The CARE Center and the communities we serve received a huge blessing and answered prayer when we completed the process of purchasing a new property located on Main Drive in New Hope.

This new space will allow our ministries to work together on one campus, except the thrift store and school-based programs which will remain in their current location.

We have prayed for some time now that God would provide us with the space needed to bring our ministries together on one campus and where we would be able to grow and add new ministries as our developmental programs continue to thrive. We have seen God work in this process in an amazing way.

We are thankful for this blessing and for the support we have been given during this process.  The CARE Center has created a fundraiser called I Give Because I CARE in order to pay-off the debt associated with this new property as soon as possible.  Please click on the “Donate Now” button below to support this effort.  Please be sure to notate that your donation is designated to I Give Because I CARE.  Thank you!

Bags of Blessings (BoB) is a weekend food security program that provides food packs to school children from low income families. The CARE Center will provide BoB filled with food intended to sustain a child through a weekend to qualifying families who have school aged children at NHES, NHHS, and OCRS. Virtual Academy students zoned for these three schools may also apply, but will need to pickup your BoB from our Business Office if approved.

CLICK HERE for an online application to apply to receive BoB. Hard copies of this application are also available at your child’s school or at The CARE Center’s Business Office (5414 Main Dr. in New Hope.) Please complete the application regardless if your child received BoB last school year. A new application is required.

Due to these uncertain times, it is important that you share your correct contact information, including: cell phone and address. If your contact information changes throughout the year, please be sure to contact The CARE Center to update your information. This is how we will reach out to you with updates regarding Bags of Blessings, Christmas Shop and CARE Packs (school supplies.) You are welcome to complete and submit this form online (be sure to upload proof of income) or print and mail (be sure to include proof of income) to: P.O. Box 51, New Hope, Al. 35760.
