Remembering our friend, Gregg Berens
We lost Gregg on February 28, 2024, and his absence is deeply felt in our community. In his honor, we have renamed our annual fundraiser the “Gregg Berens Memorial, I Golf Because I CARE Tournament”. We invite you to join us in continuing Gregg’s legacy by making this year’s tournament a great success. Our goal is to raise over $100,000 and have 32 teams participate. Let’s come together to honor our dear friend and support a great cause, The CARE Center.

Our Silent Auction
Get ready to bid for a great cause! The Gregg Berens Memorial I Golf Because I CARE Fundraising Tournament will feature a Silent Auction with exciting items and experiences generously donated by local businesses and community partners. Whether you’re joining us on the golf course or simply want to support The CARE Center, everyone is invited to participate in the auction. Ready, set, bid and help make a difference in our community while taking home something special!

When you support The CARE Center,
you are empowering our neighbors by:
- Closing the learning and opportunity gaps for hundreds of K-12 students in four local schools through intervention, mentoring, high-quality after-school care, and summer programs.
- Equipping under-educated adults with employment, a GED, workforce development, and higher education.
- Offering the basics of food, clothing, toiletries, and household goods to low-income families.
Coming Together for 24 Years!
This will be the 24th year we have hosted this fundraising tournament! Yet, as a non-profit (501c3), this sole fundraiser and your faithful donations are critically important to the financial success of our mission — to share the love and hope of Jesus Christ while empowering our neighbors in Southeastern Madison County through education, employment, and crisis services. Only through your generosity can we continue making a difference within the rural communities of Brownsboro, Gurley, New Hope, and Owens Cross Roads, where insurmountable challenges still wreak daily havoc in the lives of hundreds of children and families.
