New Hope 21st Century Community Learning Center (NHCLC)

New Hope 21st Century Community Learning Center (NHCLC) is a division of The CARE Center funded by a 21st Century Community Learning Center grant. In 2010, The CARE Center and New Hope Elementary School collaborated together and were awarded The CARE Center’s first 21st CCLC grant. Our goal is to create a safe, caring environment for the students where learning is disguised as fun. Our program focuses on building student skills in science, technology, engineering and math, reading, and art. Students also enjoy character education programs that teach children how to resolve many of today’s issues and service learning projects that teach students to give back to their community.

NHCLC is in session Monday- Friday from 2:45-6:00 PM, beginning August 19, 2019-May 15, 2020. This year’s Power Scholar Academy summer camps will be in session Monday-Friday from 8:00 A.M.-2:30 P.M. beginning June 1-July 3, 2020. NHCLC serves students in grades Kindergarten-8th who are zoned for the New Hope Elementary School. There is no fee associated with attending our program.
